I should of bought this years ago. I've tried to flash different routers to various VPN friendly firmware with no success. Lots of stress and frustration and the potential of losing internet access by messing up my router. My Asus (my favorate component builder) Sabai, Tomato configured, router arrived yesterday and I had it up and running in 5 minutes.
My computer network is fairly extensive for a home network. 8 computers, two set up as HTPCs, three 8 port switches (plus the Asus 4 port). I expected to run the new Asus from the DSL modem but the Sabai router runs off of your existing configured router on one of the LAN ports.
My download speeds have decreased from 3.4kbs to 1.1kbs (according to STRONGVPN) but the HTPCs run Netfix and Hulu plus without studdering. I've had less success with the PS3 - Netfilx works but Hulu seems to look for my local ip address despite the VPN.

Love my router! |

I wanted to tell you how happy I am with my new router. I was a little skeptical about making the purchase, since I am now living in Mexico and was worried about the shipping. About 1 hour after placing my order, I had a confirmation email with my fedex tracking number. When the fedex truck got here, they told me they had already paid for the customs fee on my behalf, $330 Mexican pesos (about $27 dollars).
I was very surprised to see how easy it was to set up, the Sabai operating system is just GREAT! Much easier to understand than the ddwrt system.
My network connection went from 100 to 1 GB. The only problem I ran into (not related to Sabai) Is that I went to all the stores that we have here to get a new switch to take advantage of the new speed, and they only have 10/100 but not 10/100/1000
My recommendation to Sabai is to add a switch to their store. I'm sure many people will want one. I will be your first customer for sure.

I bought this router with some reservations but found that it rocks the VPN circuit. Ruth and William are simply the best support I have ever encountered and I build computers. Excellent product and Top Notch Service!!!

I can't say enough good things about this router or this company!
The router is smoking fast. I've been running it now for about 3 months with absolutely zero problems. Simple setup out of the box, Sabai makes it easy! If you are considering routing all of your IP traffic through your VPN, this is the way to go.
Outstanding service! Shipping was fast, even overseas. Rest assured that if you have any problems or questions, William provides the answers fast.
I've recommended this router to three friends, two purchased. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this router or Sabai Technology to anyone.

Asus RTN16 |

Just installed the Asus RT-N16. (after prompt shipment).
The setup instructions were appreciated.
Right out of the box everything is working at rated speeds and even the networked PS3′s and iTouch seem happy.
Coupled with StrongVPN, setup and install could not have been smoother (StrongVPN has excellent support as well).
Will certainly recommend this combo! Thanks.
