VPN Pre-Configuration
Make setup easier by having Sabai Technology pre-configure your VPN connection before your new hardware ships.
With VPN Pre-Configuration, a Sabai Technology technician will load the required VPN configuration onto your eligible Sabai Technology product using the VPN provider information you supply. When your order arrives, your VPN configuration will already be installed, reducing the setup required on your end.
Before You Add VPN Pre-Configuration
- A compatible Sabai Technology product must be purchased with this service.
- You must already have an active account with a supported VPN provider.
- You will need to provide the VPN configuration files and/or VPN provider information required to configure your connection.
- Additional information may be required depending on your hardware, VPN provider, and connection type.
- Please allow up to two additional business days for your order to ship after we receive all required configuration information.
If we do not receive the required information within 3 business days, your order will ship without VPN Pre-Configuration.
What We Configure
Depending on the product purchased and your network requirements, we may request some or all of the following information:
- Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
- Wi-Fi password (Shared Key)
- VPN configuration files
- VPN provider information or credentials required by your provider's configuration
- PPPoE credentials, if your internet service specifically requires a PPPoE connection
- Additional configuration information when required for supported hardware
VPN Pre-Configuration is intended to configure the VPN connection and applicable settings on the Sabai Technology product you purchase. It does not include configuration or troubleshooting of your modem, ISP service, existing home network, or other third-party equipment unless specifically included in the service.
VPN Provider Requirements
You must purchase and activate your VPN service separately before Sabai Technology can complete the pre-configuration.

Some VPN providers require configuration files, service credentials, or other account-specific information. A Sabai Technology technician will contact you if additional information is required to complete your configuration.
If your VPN provider limits the number of simultaneous VPN connections, you may need to disconnect an existing VPN connection while we configure and test your new hardware.
Protecting Your Account Information
Depending on your VPN provider, completing the configuration may require you to provide account credentials or other private configuration information to Sabai Technology.
Any information provided for VPN Pre-Configuration will be used only as necessary to complete and test the requested configuration and will be handled securely by Sabai Technology staff.
Shipping & Processing Time
VPN Pre-Configuration requires additional processing before your order can ship. Please allow up to two additional business days after we receive all required VPN and configuration information.
Orders containing VPN Pre-Configuration are not eligible for expedited shipping options such as 2-Day or Overnight shipping.
If we do not receive all required configuration information within 3 business days, we will ship your order without pre-configuration rather than continue holding the shipment.
Delays caused by missing, incorrect, or incomplete customer-provided information may delay completion of the pre-configuration and are not included in the estimated processing time.
Advanced & Custom Configurations
VPN Pre-Configuration covers the standard configuration required to install your supported VPN connection on the eligible Sabai Technology product purchased with the service.
Advanced networking, custom configurations, third-party equipment configuration, or other services outside the standard VPN Pre-Configuration may require additional technical support or fees. If your requested configuration falls outside the scope of this service, we will let you know before performing additional billable work.

Easiest VPN setup EVER!
Ruth has been fantastic now...with me through multiple VPN services. Most recently, was able to take care of a pre-configured router for me in less than 10 minutes---with a company that IS on Sabai's "list", but NOT one their most preferred providers. In the past, setting up any protocol took a LOT of time--even w/ pre-configured routers--NOW, took me more time to open the SEALED BOX than to have the VPN service on BOTH my OS X AND on all of my IOS devices!

Sabai CONTINUES to have the best customer service!!
Ruth and the rest of the Sabai staff have been terrific w/ me now through MULTIPLE VPN carriers AND the pre-configuration is getting MUCH easier! After spending 10 minutes on the phone with Ruth, she'd set me up w/ a pre-configured router for a company that IS on their web site, but NOT one of their most "preferred" clients. Setting up BOTH my OS X and my IOS devices took LESS TIME than opening the box with my new pre-configured router (which I got in 2 business days). Sabai Technology will continue to be my "go-to" for assistance with my VPN needs.

DON'T RESET THE ROUTER AND NEGATE THE PRECONFIGURATION YOU PAID FOR!
I wish the pre-configured Router instructions had a big big bold bold bold warning sign that said DO NOT RESET THE ROUTER - DONT USE PIN IN THAT HOLE - DON'T DO IT. IT WILL LOSE ALL THE PRE-CONGURATION WORK WE DID ON IT AND IT WILL FRUSTRATE YOU AS YOU TRY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF AFTER YOU'VE ALREADY PAID FOR IT! Something like that would be nice;) Just sayin. Other than that, the Service response was great and it is ALL GOOD:)

So easy!
With the pre-configuration, I just plugged the router in and was up and running. Couldn't have been easier.

Do not follow through
I picked this service because they said it would be set ready to go, when it arrived it did not work. I phone and the person was helpful and got it running not on the VPN I requested, they said they were going to be incontact with the VPN and get the fix that was two weeks ago, still waiting. I phoned the next day after they got it working because it stopped again and basically hung up on me.
