The Sabai Technology VPN Accelerator 5.0 is a dedicated VPN appliance designed to provide faster VPN speeds across your home or business network without requiring you to replace your existing router or mesh Wi-Fi system.

Instead of relying on a traditional router to manage both your network and VPN encryption, the VPN Accelerator handles VPN processing on its own dedicated hardware. Your existing router or mesh system can then focus on managing your local network and wireless connections while the Accelerator handles the VPN.

With a quad-core Intel processor and 4 GB of RAM dedicated to VPN processing, the VPN Accelerator is designed to overcome the performance limitations that can occur when VPN encryption is handled directly by consumer router hardware.

The VPN Accelerator supports WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2 and can be used with Sabai OS routers, compatible stock firmware routers, DD-WRT, OpenWRT, and compatible mesh Wi-Fi systems.

Connect the VPN Accelerator to a compatible router or mesh Wi-Fi system to provide VPN connectivity to computers, phones, tablets, smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, and other network devices. Because the VPN connection is handled at the network level, individual VPN applications are not required on each connected device.

International Customers: The VPN Accelerator includes a dual-voltage power adapter with a standard American-style plug. A power plug adapter can be purchased separately for use with other compatible outlet types.

Works With Your Existing Router or Mesh System

You do not need a Sabai OS VPN router to use the VPN Accelerator. The Accelerator handles VPN processing separately, allowing a compatible router or mesh Wi-Fi system to distribute the VPN connection throughout your network.

This gives you the flexibility to choose the Wi-Fi system that best fits your home or business while using dedicated hardware for VPN processing. It is particularly useful if you already have a router or whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system that you want to continue using.

Note: If your modem and router are combined into a single device, you will need a separate router or mesh Wi-Fi system connected to the VPN Accelerator to distribute the VPN connection.

VPN Accelerator With Sabai OS

When paired with a compatible Sabai OS VPN Router, the VPN Accelerator can be used with Sabai OS Gateways for additional device-by-device connection control.

Gateways allows supported devices to be assigned to your regular local internet connection, the router's VPN connection, or the VPN Accelerator connection directly from the Sabai OS dashboard.

VPN Accelerator & Proxy

The VPN Accelerator also supports proxy functionality. This provides additional flexibility for users who want to route traffic from a particular application or browser through a different connection while other traffic continues to use the normal network connection.

The VPN Accelerator can provide significantly higher VPN throughput than running VPN encryption directly on many consumer routers. In testing, speed increases of up to 1300% have been observed in certain configurations.

Actual VPN performance depends on several factors, including your internet plan, VPN provider, VPN protocol, selected VPN server, geographic location, network configuration, connected hardware, and other factors.

A useful way to estimate potential VPN Accelerator performance is to run your VPN provider's application directly on a capable computer and perform a speed test. Since the computer handles VPN encryption independently from your router, those results can provide a general indication of the VPN performance that may be possible with dedicated processing hardware.

The VPN Accelerator supports WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2 VPN connection types. VPN provider requirements, protocols, and configurations can change over time, so please confirm that your VPN provider supports a compatible connection type before purchasing.

Some streaming services, websites, applications, and other online services attempt to detect and block VPN traffic. If your VPN connects successfully and displays the VPN server's IP address, the VPN connection is functioning correctly. However, compatibility with any specific streaming service, website, application, or online content cannot be guaranteed.
