What's the difference between the VPN Accelerator and a VPN Router?

The Accelerator uses its own dedicated quad-core processor for encryption, supports WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2, and works alongside the router or mesh system you already own.
Can I use it with a mesh WiFi system?
Yes — connect your mesh system to the Accelerator's extra Ethernet port, and the mesh broadcasts the encrypted connection to every node just like regular WiFi.
Does it work with a DD-WRT router?
Yes. The original VPN Accelerator was created to work specifically with Sabai OS. However, the VPN Accelerator can be used with any router including: stock firmware routers, Sabai OS VPN Routers, DD-WRT Routers, OpenWRT Routers, and other third-party firmware too. Simply plug your favorite router or mesh network into the extra port and let the VPNA manage your VPN connection, leaving the router to manage the network and WiFi connections.

Sabai VPN Accelerator
Gained 4-5 times speed compared to my vanilla OpenVPN on WNR3500/Tomato. Absolutely recommend this if your VPN is significantly slower than your non-VPN service... takes all the heavy processing work out of your router... genius. Also, great support staff... can't go wrong with Sabai.

Great boost
After installing the VPN accelerator, I went from an average download speed of 25 MBps to 160 Mbps. Once I connected it, I reached to my VPN provider and had it running in a manner of a few minutes. Wish I had done this sooner.

Great addition to my existing Sabai router
I bought the VPNA thinking it would increase my VPN speed by 2 or 3 Mbps. You can imagine how happy I was to discover that the VPNA added another 8 to 10 Mbps to the VPN speed! I am now getting around 17 to 18 Mbps, and I couldn't be happier. Streaming TV is now seamless with no buffering whatsoever.

Worth the Upgrade
I pre-ordered the new VPNA after having used the previous model for 2 years. Our local internet in Cyprus is unstable and a VPNA is a must for streaming TV. Wow, this new model has improved the stability even more, we no longer experience the VPN dropping off and the HD picture quality has improved greatly. I cannot fault Sabai for their products and technical help, they are simply the best. We did have a slight problem setting the new VPNA up, but Ruth came to the rescue and sorted our issue in a few minutes. Customer service as it should be. I would not hesitate to recommend any Sabai products.
