The Sabai Technology VPN Accelerator 5.0 is a dedicated VPN appliance designed to provide faster VPN speeds across your home or business network without requiring you to replace your existing router or mesh Wi-Fi system.
Instead of relying on a traditional router to manage both your network and VPN encryption, the VPN Accelerator handles VPN processing on its own dedicated hardware. With a quad-core Intel processor and 4 GB of RAM dedicated to VPN processing, the VPN Accelerator is designed to overcome the performance limitations that can occur when VPN encryption is handled directly by consumer router hardware.
The VPN Accelerator supports WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2 and can be used with Sabai OS routers, compatible stock firmware routers, DD-WRT, OpenWRT, and compatible mesh Wi-Fi systems.

You do not need a Sabai OS VPN router to use the VPN Accelerator. The Accelerator handles VPN processing separately, allowing a compatible router or mesh Wi-Fi system to distribute the VPN connection throughout your network.
This gives you the flexibility to choose the Wi-Fi system that best fits your home or business while using dedicated hardware for VPN processing. It is particularly useful if you already have a router or whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system that you want to continue using.

VPN Accelerator With Sabai OS
When paired with a compatible Sabai OS VPN Router, the VPN Accelerator can be used with Sabai OS Gateways for additional device-by-device connection control.
Gateways allows supported devices to be assigned to your regular local internet connection, the router's VPN connection, or the VPN Accelerator connection directly from the Sabai OS dashboard.
VPN Accelerator & Proxy
The VPN Accelerator also supports proxy functionality. This provides additional flexibility for users who want to route traffic from a particular application or browser through a different connection while other traffic continues to use the normal network connection.

Excellent, Fast VPN connection device
The device has been working great. Using this in between a Netgear router (that goes to the Internet, for no VPN access) and an ASUS 5300 that provides only VPN connectivity to all devices. Just had a minor issue with the DNS server addresses getting propagated and mitigated this by putting explicit Google DNS servers in the Asus. Support team has been great working through this. I use WireGuard/Strong VPN from 2 xboxes, couple of desktops on wired connections and several wireless devices. Still the VPN speed on the wired network is ~450 mbps, which is pretty awesome. Highly recommend this.

Excellent, Fast VPN connection device
I have been using the Model Z accelerator for over 2 weeks now. Other than the minor hiccup with passing DNS servers (which was overcome by passing custom DNS servers through the router), the device has been very stable and offering great vpn connectivity to all my devices. I have 2 desktops, 2 xboxes on wired ethernet, several laptops and mobile devices on Wifi. All of them are able to share the VPN connection through Model Z. On wired network I get speeds upto 450 Mbps, which is pretty good. I highly recommend this.

Great performance though pricey
The underlying PC seems to cost 150 so it seems pricey to pay over 600 for this - even with the Black Friday discount. Once you add the shipping and import tax then you’ve added 25% on top of the initial price. Having said that, the product is simple to use and does exactly what is expected giving blazing fast VPN speeds.
