With a quad-core Intel processor and 4 GB of RAM dedicated to VPN processing, the VPN Accelerator is designed to overcome the performance limitations that can occur when VPN encryption is handled directly by consumer router hardware.

You do not need a Sabai OS VPN router to use the VPN Accelerator. The Accelerator handles VPN processing separately, allowing a compatible router or mesh Wi-Fi system to distribute the VPN connection throughout your network.
This gives you the flexibility to choose the Wi-Fi system that best fits your home or business while using dedicated hardware for VPN processing. It is particularly useful if you already have a router or whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system that you want to continue using.

VPN Accelerator With Sabai OS
When paired with a compatible Sabai OS VPN Router, the VPN Accelerator can be used with Sabai OS Gateways for additional device-by-device connection control.
Gateways allows supported devices to be assigned to your regular local internet connection, the router's VPN connection, or the VPN Accelerator connection directly from the Sabai OS dashboard.
VPN Accelerator & Proxy
The VPN Accelerator also supports proxy functionality. This provides additional flexibility for users who want to route traffic from a particular application or browser through a different connection while other traffic continues to use the normal network connection.

Terrific improvement!
I have used the V1 VPN Accelerator and it did a pretty good job of recapturing speed when using a VPN. This new V2 Accelerator is a quantum leap forward with this technology. It gets my VPN bandwidth very close to that provided directly by my ISP and at time equal to it!! This is the solution I have been hoping for and Sabai comes through again!!! I am using the Release candidate of the VPNa and just did some interesting testing. Without VPN I got 18.08 Download speed, then I did the same test WITH the VPN running on the VPNa and got 17.53!!! WOW!!!

I received the accelerator today and had it up and running in 10 mins. the accelerator has greatly improved my openvpn speed . my isp speeds was 37mbps. I have tested the speed without the accelerator and my openvpn speed was 12mbps. with the accelerator openvpn my speeds are now 35mbps a vast improvement to my speeds before I installed the accelerator . also what I paid to sabai technology is the full amount I only paid delivered to my door in the uk. so at the end of the day im a very happy man with my purchase.

The Amazing Accelerator
Just received my Accelerator and with the excellent on-line assistance from Ruth at Sabai, am now up and running at a 9X increase in speed. Ruth is an amazingly patient and knowledgeable person with a good sense of humor. I think she may be magic. I read prior reviews and was a little skeptical in making the purchase, but Wow! it works as promised. WOW!
It just sounded too good to be true... But then the claims were from Sabai and if they give advise and suggestions, you just know it's right. I purchased the RT-N66U and the VPN Accelerator to upgrade my previous Router (also purchased from Sabai). It arrived in Shanghai 2 days after ordering, I booked time with Ruth however had to cancel as Customs held the shipment. Once I got the package I decided to try the install myself following the instructions. Within 30 minutes I was back up and running with the new router and my new best friend, the VPN Accelerator. Before the Accelerator I was getting 1.8 to 2Mbps. NOW I am getting up to 16Mbps download. Stunning... Thanks TEAM ! You just keep getting better each and every time I deal with you.

Once this product was set in place and bundled with Sabai's Cisco Linksys E4200 router, my internet has never been so stable and so fast. The VPN Accelerator is a must have for all people planing to use Roku or Apple TV outside the US, HD quality is always available. Works with Hide My Ass (HMA) OpenVPN account
The set up of the accelerator was straightforward. We had a minor glitch in getting the OpenVPN from HMA to work...a pesky space that should not have been present...was tripping up the set up. Ruth was amazing in finding the "needle in the haystack" and things are fully operational now. The trick is in the script (no space before the backward slash): "username\npassword" Thank you again, Ruth, for getting me set up on the Asus N66U and VPN Accelerator package with my HMA OpenVPN account.

Worthwhile Upgrade from DD-WRT and for Speed!
After discovering the dual-gateway and port-forwarding features of SabaiOS v.5 within a single router plus the VPNA offering, it gave me the perception that this company knows the marketplace gaps and its target customer. Setup of my E4200/VPNA bundle was straightforward. Static IP, dual gateway and port-forwarding features worked as described with one peculiarity: it appears that by setting up the VPNA as your VPN gateway, the VPNA acts as an independent third gateway but the current router OS does not support port-forwarding for devices assigned to that gateway. I look forward to a future OS upgrade. Previously my internet speeds rarely approached ~7Mbps (download)/~1Mbps (Upload) thorough my DD-WRT-flashed WRT610N on a 15/2 service. Over the past two months using the E4200/VPNA bundle, speeds ranged consistently between ~11-14/~1-1.5. I have not had any router or VPNA lockups but have restarted both a few times successfully after tweaking the configuration.
